If you have problems accessing the admin-script using the version above, PHP is most likely running in CGI Mode on your server. This CGI Mode does not support the HTTP Authentication. That's why you cannot use the "normal" Version of our scripts.
Please note that this also means, that you have to use .htaccess/.htpasswd to protect your admin-folder. If you have any problems concerning the password protection contact us.
